Buying a new home is definitely an accomplishment worth celebrating!
I love to give buyers a special little gift at closing, and I work hard to find the perfect item. Some realtors gift generic items branded with their name and logo, but that doesn’t seem like much of a gift, does it?
I prefer to stay away from self-promotion and focus more on finding gifts my clients will love and actually use! My goal is to choose something that will be meaningful and specific to the buyer and the property.
So, how do I know what my buyers would like?
It’s simple – I actually get to know my buyers!!
Real estate has always been built on relationships. Agents spend a LOT of time with their clients. We get to know their personalities, likes and dislikes, and what truly matters to them.
We’re by their side for the biggest purchase they’ll ever make, talking them through their decision and providing reassurance when emotions run high.
We’ve seen them at their best, and honestly, sometimes at their worst! And that’s how lasting relationships are built.
Sadly, that’s what seems to be missing from some of the new “mega-agent” listings that promise fast, hassle-free closings.
When you see an ad for a company like HomeAgent.com you might be swayed by their convincing testimonials… Don’t be. Those are paid actors, and their touching stories are nothing more than marketing ploys dreamed up by an advertising team.
You won’t be working with the agent you see on the sign. They’re farming your information out to any agent that’s willing to pay for the referrals rather than doing the work themselves. They get a cut of the transaction without ever devoting the time to building real relationships with your buyers.
Those are the ones that send self-promoting, generic swag at closing (if they bother to send a gift at all!)
I think you deserve better. This is a huge purchase, and you deserve an agent that is invested in your happiness – not a random stranger that paid to get your referral.
